Mentor Community

We offer mentorship to founders and the next generation of investors by tapping into our diverse community of mentors who are aligned with our mission. We design onboarding experiences, spaces of community, and design curriculum so that mentors can hold space for founder well-being and intersectional cultural adaptiveness as well as company growth.

Mentorship at the intersection of funders and ecosystem builders

Our typical mentor is an entrepreneur who naturally cultivates ecosystems of entrepreneurs. They connect founders with resources and relationships. They care about founder well-being, intersectional cultural adaptiveness, and helping companies grow. Cinematica Labs recruits and equips these diverse mentors to support founders in partnership with ecosystem building organizations, for-profit investors, and non-profit organizations.

  • “Building solutions for funding is a challenge and we need alternative forms of financing in our communities - I think attending events with other mentors and more folks in the funding side was developmentally exciting for me in that I can see something forming out of this mentor community.”

  • “The program helped reinforce how having a community of founders and entrepreneurs who can share learnings and resources is critical.”

  • “Often times if I am teaching or supporting a program it is more about the content. It was refreshing to be in a role where my job was to facilitate crowd sourced learning and a space for the founders to build with each other. I really challenged myself to practice embodied questioning. This was my first time dedicating time to this practice and I did find it helpful.”

  • “That it's a gift to create space for the black women founders, and that while the journey is so exhausting, community is the constant support they need.”
