PledgeLA:
VC Fellowship Program

We’re honored to have collaborated with PledgeLA in 2024 to help build a more inclusive and representative venture ecosystem in LA. The VC Fellowship is a PledgeLA program and the objective is to provide Southern California graduate students from backgrounds not well-represented in venture capital (identity, socioeconomic, educational, and other lived experiences) with 4 months of investment pre-training and due diligence experience. Fellows who complete the training program receive access to a 10-week, full time paid internship at a venture capital firm or accelerator. At least half of the program alumni are expected to work full-time in tech or venture within three years of completing the program.

Cinematica Labs had the privilege of not only designing a training program for 10 fellows to break into venture, but also one that provided the fellows with the agency to define their personal missions and to imagine how they want to shape the present and the future of venture capital. Creating a space for each fellow to thrive in their curiosity around venture was deeply rewarding.

After 3 months of intensive training in venture capital, all 10 fellows secured an internship working alongside incredible venture firms, leaders, and peers.
